On the F-150 13th gen (2015 and current) there are generally three types of Mirrors:

Auto Dimming Rear-View Mirror with 16 position connector. This mirror automatically dims bright lights behind your vehicle, and has a 16 pin connector with a connector and wiring coming from the headliner to the back of the mirror. It is VERY easy to access this connector, you can get a closer look using a mirror or your smart phone selfie camera or just sneak your head behind it. it will have 16 open holes for wires (it may have additional smaller holes that pin removal tools fit into, don't worry about these). 

2: Auto Dimming Rear-View Mirror with 14 position connector. This mirror has auto dimming as well however the wiring is hidden behind a plastic cover. We currently do not have plug and play solutions for the 14 position connectors however we do have our universal hardwire kit to make wiring a breeze. 

3: Manual Dimming Rear-View Mirror:

A manual rearview mirror uses a flip switch to tilt the prismatic glass, switching between a highly reflective surface for daytime and a less reflective surface to reduce glare at night. These mirrors are generally not powered and will not work with our Plug and Play modules, however you can use our universal hardwire kit to make wiring a breeze.

The Dash Lynx Toyota Plug-n-play Dash Camera wiring kit (Patent-Pending) allows you to effortlessly install a dash camera, Radar, navigation, GPS, and/or smart phones safely and quickly into your vehicle. With two USB Type A sockets, you can choose to run your cables on the left side, right side, or both, for a cleaner and easier install.
The Dash Lynx will provide power to your dash camera or accessories only when the vehicle’s ignition is on, or when the engine is running. When the vehicle is off, it turns off. The Dash Lynx power supply has 2 USB 5-watt outputs. Quick access USB Type-A sockets allow you to easily change from micro-USB to mini-USB for all major Dash Camera brands. Designed by aerospace engineers in America with the highest safety standards, the Dash Lynx comes with 3 embedded auto-resetting electric fuses and reverse polarity protection to protect your devices in the event of a bad jump start or electrical shock. The fuses are properly designed and specified for each vehicle year/make/model so that in the event of a dash camera failure or short, your vehicles main power harness is not affected. WILL NOT CONNECT TO ANY OTHER VEHICLE ELECTRONICS, ONLY THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR CONNECTOR.

MAY NOT WORK WITH AUTO-START-STOP. During Auto Start stop, your engine turns off at a stop light, when you left your foot off the brake, the engine starts again. in this brief period during the engine starting some vehicles kill power to peripherals like the rear view mirror circuitry. Dash Cameras have a backup lithium battery inside them to close out files during shut off, every camera is different but some of them with a smaller battery do not like having this power interrupted and will shut off. Simple solution is to disable Auto-Start-Stop feature on your car by pushing the button on the dash or permanently disabling it.
